#1 - The Oakland Monday Nighter
(Mon 22-Dec-2003) Green Bay Packers @ Oakland Raiders - Favre plays his most amazing game ever on MNF the day after his father passes. Favre goes to Oakland the day after his dad’s death and not only plays, but plays the best game of
his career in a tribute to his father. Favre would finish 22 of 30 for 399 yards
4 Tds and an incredible 154.9 passer rating. (Quality
9)
#2 - The Favre Era Begins
(Sun 20-Sep-1992) Cincinnati Bengals @ Green Bay Packers - Favre began the year as an understudy to Don Majkowski, but he was hastily summoned
from the bench in this game to replace an injured Majkowski in the 1st Qtr. Favre
would make the best of the opportunity and lead the Packers back to an electrifying, come-from behind, victory over the Bengals.
He Engineered two TD drives in last eight minutes of the game and won the game by way of a 35-yard scoring pass to WR Kitrick
Taylor with only 13 seconds remaining in the game. Classic! Selected as one of the games of the decade. Favre would finish the game 22 of 39 for 289 yards passing, which would be his season high.

#3 - Super Bowl XXXI
(Sun 26-Jan-1997) Super
Bowl XXXI - New England Patriots vs Green Bay Packers
- Packers bring the Lombardi trophy home in a game that had many huge plays by huge players. Favre launched the day's scoring with a 54-yard touchdown pass to WR Andre Rison on his first throw of
the game, Favre noticed the defense and called an audible on the play. Later,
Favre found Freeman with a then-Super Bowl-record, 81-yard scoring strike where he perfectly lofted the ball over a Pats defender,
play came off of another audible Favre called. Total, Favre frisked New England's
vaunted defense for 246 yards, completing 14 of 27 attempts without an interception, to trigger a 35-21 triumph in Super Bowl
XXXI at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, returning the Lombardi Trophy to Green Bay for the first time in 29 years. It had to have been an especially magical moment for Favre, who had disclosed off-the-field
problems in May, then stated upon returning from a 45-day stay in the Menninger Clinic at Topeka, Kan., "You know, I'm going
to beat this thing. I'm going to win a Super Bowl. And all I can tell people if they don't believe me is, 'Just bet against
me.' " Reggie White came to Green Bay to win a championship and wasn’t
going to leave without one. White would come up with 3 sacks, a super bowl record,
with 2 of them late in the game to help preserve the game. After all of this
though neither of them would be the Super Bowl MVP, that honor was left for Desmond Howard who set one record after another
in the return game.
#4 - The Run to the First Division Title in 25 Years
(Sun 18-Dec-1994) Atlanta Falcons @ Green Bay Packers - No time-outs, no
time left and the playoffs and division title on the line from the 10 yard line. Holmgram tells Favre to make sure he doesn't
run the ball because there are no time-outs and the game will be over if he doesn't make the end zone. So what does Favre do? Well he runs it of course and barely
makes it around a diving defensive end and dives into the end zone in front of 2 defenders for the game winning TD - Last
Milwaukee game - Sterling Sharpe gets career ending injury. - includes Fox post game show, NFL prime time highlights and Mike Holmgren show with Brett Favre as the guest!!! - upgraded
5-3-06
#5 - Favre’s First Playoff Game
(Sat 08-Jan-1994) 1993
NFC Wildcard - Green Bay Packers @ Detroit Lions - Favre's first playoff game and was it exciting. Favre hits Sharpe, with under 2 mins left in the game, with the game
winning TD on a pass in which the ball traveled almost 70-yards in the air! With the Packers trailing 24-21 and about a minute to go in the game, Favre scrambled out of the
pocket to his left and made an unbelievable game winning throw all the way across the field, a throw that only Favre could
have made. On the day Favre threw 3 TD passes to Sterling Sharpe and completed
15 of 26 passes for 204 yards. This was a great back and forth game and a true
classic.
#6 - The Bum Ankle and The Bears
(Sun 12-Nov-1995) Chicago Bears @ Green Bay Packers - 150th Packer vs Bear meeting and one of the best ever - Brett Favre had suffered a severely sprained left ankle late in second quarter of rematch
at Minnesota one week earlier (Nov. 5) – an injury which later would require off season surgery (Feb. 27, 1996) to remove
several bone chips and one large spur. Favre would be listed as doubtful on the
injury report all week leading up to this game and most didn’t think he would play.
The ironman would play though and would the Bears ever wish he didn’t.
Favre would throw for a career-high and team-record tying five touchdown passes to lead the Packers to a key 35-28
victory over the Bears. Subsequently was named NFC 'Offensive Player of the Week'
(for the second time in four weeks) after completing 25 of 33 passes for 336 yards with no interceptions against Chicago,
giving him a (then) career-high single-game passer rating of 147.2. Reggie White
also played injured to key the defense and commented that he had to play because if Favre could play, as injured as he was,
then he had no excuses not to play either.
#7 - 1999 Last Second Comeback 2
(Sun 26-Sep-1999) Minnesota Vikings @ Green Bay Packers - Favre does it again for the 2nd time in the first 3 weeks of the season as he throws
a last second TD pass to Corey Bradford on 4th down. This time it was against
Minnesota which went 15-1 the previous season and had embarrassed the Packers at Lambeau snapping the Packers 3 year streak
of not losing at home. Favre also was playing with a thumb that he had jammed
in Oakland on Week #1 of the season.
#8 - 1999 Last Second Comeback 3
(Sun 10-Oct-1999) Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Green Bay Packers - ESPN SNF - Again Favre does it and on his 30th B-day. A last second TD for the 3rd
time in 4 weeks to beat the mighty Buccaneers defense and in 2 weeks take down the top 2 teams in the NFC Central. The Packers were 3-1 in Rhodes first season and only because of Brett Favres’ heroics.
#9 - The Packers Become One of the Elite
(Sat 06-Jan-1996)
1995 NFC Divisional - Green Bay Packers @ San Francisco
49ers - Packers start their mastery of the 49ers in a huge upset over the defending super bowl champs in
San Francisco. San Fran QB Steve Young throws a playoff record 65 passes, but
the Pack holds on with great "D" and a hot hand from their QB Brett Favre. Favre
hit on 21 of 28 passes (for a team post season record completion percentage of 75.0) for 299 yards and two TDs – with
no interceptions. Favre would be named NFL 'Offensive Player of the Week' for his performance vs. the Niners - Craig Newsome’s
fumble recovery for a TD keys start of game.
#10 - The MNF “No Touch Game”
(Mon 14-Oct-1996) San Francisco 49ers @ Green Bay Packers - MNF - Classic
OT “No touch” game - Don Beebe goes off
on 49ers for over 200 yards receiving after being called to duty because Robert Brooks breaks his leg. Favre would amass 395 passing yards, the (then-) second-highest total of his career and the fourth-highest
in Packers history in escorting Green Bay to a comeback 23-20 victory in overtime. Led
Packers on three scoring drives in second half of Niners contest which ended with field goals in the fourth quarter and overtime. Completed 28 of a team-record 61 passes, including a 59-yard TD throw to Don Beebe,
with two interceptions. Favre would later say this was the most physical game
he ever played in - has Milwaukee local post game
show - upgraded 5-3-06 (Quality A)
#11 - The “Monsoon Monday Nighter”
(Mon 31-Oct-1994) Green Bay @ Chicago Bears - MNF - "Halloween Down Pour Game” - Brett Favre would mount one of his finest performances
even though he had a severly bruised left hip, running for one touchdown and throwing for another in a cold, cyclonic rainstorm…The
former came late in the second quarter, when he rolled out to his right and raced 36 yards (diving over a Bear defender into
the end zone) to give the Packers a 14-0 lead…Later, in the fourth quarter, he connected with Edgar Bennett for a 13-yard
touchdown, raising the Packers’ lead to 27-0…His 58 yards rushing against the Bears represented a career high. Includes local Milwaukee pre-game show - upgraded 5-3-06 (Quality A)
#12 -“Thigpen’s Drop”
(Sun 24-Dec-1995) Pittsburgh Steelers @ Green Bay Packers - "Yancy Thigpen's
drop" - Excellent game that would help decide the division title for the Packers. Unbelievable ending. Favre would turn in a gutsy performance in leading Packers to their division-clinching, 24-19 victory
over Pittsburgh when, despite having to stop twice during the game after getting the wind knocked out of him, he threw for
301 yards and two touchdowns. On one sequence, he was hit hard by three Steeler defenders while scrambling on a play; the
Packers called a time-out and Favre, who would go over to the sidelines and cough up blood, returned to throw a 1-yard scoring
pass to Mark Chmura on the following play. Favre would be Named NFC 'Offensive
Player of the Month' for December, passing for over 1,233 yards on 102 completions in 151 attempts with 10 TDs and only two
INTs (109.0 passer rating) in directing Green Bay to three victories during the month.
#13 - Favre Beats Up the Defending Champs
(Sun 14-Oct-2001) Baltimore Ravens @ Green Bay Packers - Favre took on one of the greatest defenses ever and tore it apart, completing 27 of
34 passes for 337 yards to help the Packers defeat the defending Super Bowl champion Ravens.
Also.... he did not throw any interceptions!!! Favre made it look very easy against the best defense in the NFL.
#14 - Favre Shows his Toughness and Helps Bring a Legend
(Sun 15-Nov-1992) Philadelphia Eagles - The game that helped to bring
Reggie White to Green Bay - Favre would Stage an inspiring
performance vs. Philadelphia, leading the Packers to a 27-24, come from-behind victory despite suffering a first-degree separation
of his left (non throwing) shoulder early in the game on a sack by Reggie White… Favre would go 23 of 33 for 275 yards
and two scores with two interceptions in upset of Eagles. Reggie White was so
impressed with Favre’s toughness that he would later say this game was what made him decide the Packers had the best
chance of winning with Favre at the helm and helped in his decision to come to Green Bay.
#15 - The Record Breaking Begins
(Sun 05-Dec-1993) Green Bay Packers @ Chicago Bears - Favre would set a Green Bay single-game record with 36 completions at Chicago,
breaking the previous record of 35 set by Dickey in 1980, to single handly lead the Packers to victory…Favre also threw
for a career-high 402 yards vs. Bears – the third most in team history (behind Dickey's 418 vs. Tampa Bay in 1980 and
Don Horn's 410 vs. the Cardinals in 1969)…It also represented the first 300- and 400-yard passing games of Favre's career. (Quality 9.0)
#16 - Favre Becomes NFL's Passing Leader
(Sun 30-Sep-2007) @ Minnesota Vikings - Brett Favre threw his 421st career TD pass to Greg Jennings on a 16-yard score, breaking a tie with Dan

#17 - 2007 Denver Monday Nighter
(Mon 29-Oct-2007) @ Denver Broncos - MNF - OT - On the first play of OT, after the Packers won the coin flip, Favre would end the game in dramatic
fashion by hitting Greg Jennings in stride on a bomb for an 82-yard TD. Favre
would hit two such bombs on the day a week after being critisized for underthrowing two passes that were intercepted against
Washington. The first bomb was a perfect throw to James Jones, on the first play
of the Packers second possession, that would go for 79-yards after some great running by Jones. On the day Favre completed 21 of 27 passes (to eight receivers) for 331 yards and two touchdowns, for a
season-high 142.4 passer rating, earning him ‘FedEx Air Player Of The Week’.
Favre threw only one incompletion after halftime and with his performance, is the first player in Packers history to
throw two TD passes of 75+ yards in one game. Favre has 13 career TD passes of 75+ yards, the most for any player in NFL history.
- added January, 2007
#18 - 2007 Thanksgiving Showdown

#24 - The Favre vs Sapp Rivalry
(Sun 04-Jan-1998) 1997
NFC Divisional - Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Green Bay Packers
- This playoff game at Lambeau may not have been one
of Favre's statistical bests 15 of 28 for 198 yards and a touchdown - but it was an example of Favre's dominance of Warren
Sapp and the outstanding Buccaneers defense. With Sapp yapping in his ear all game, Favre remained steady and led the Packers
to a 21-7 divisional-playoff win en route to their second straight NFC championship.
Also is well known for the Favre and Sapp confrontations that would make their games famous.

#29 - The First Completion of His Career
(Sun 10-Nov-1991) Washington Redskins vs Atlanta Falcons - Not a Packer
game, but was the first regular season game a guy named Brett Favre completed his first pass in. Favre would come in for mop up duty after the Falcons were already well behind. His first completion was a well thrown pass that wasn't handled by the receiver. The ball would instead be tipped up into the air off the receivers hands and returned for a TD by Washington! Favre would then go to the sidelines and say to his coach, "How about that my first
completion in the NFL and it goes for a TD!" To which the coach would respond
"But it was to the wrong team!" - The comment would only further deepen Atlanta's
willingness to trade Favre - Classic Favre comment though.
